Degree: Bachelor of Nursing

Describe the UOW Bega Education Centre in three words:
Hassle-free - Sociable - Intense

Why did you choose UOW over other universities?
I chose UOW at Bega because as a mature age student it can be difficult to pull up strings and move away. Having the education centre and the nursing course close by made the decision to start my degree easier.

What are the advantages of attending University close to home?
Close to family, work and friends

Why did you choose your particular degree?
Working as a AIN in Aged Care, I recognised that my ability to perform this physical job was becoming harder as the years went by. Enjoying the health industries, I decided to continue along the same lines and move higher up the ladder by becoming a Registered Nurse.

What are some of your career-related ambitions?
Registered Nurse in Mental Health. Who knows, but an RN can go places and do things an AIN could never do...
